Biodiversity Week

Hi all,

This week is Biodiversity Week in the school! The class will be a hive :-) of activity! The children are busy putting together their Bee projects and have been learning about the importance of recycling and the dangers of plastic. We have written a letter to Glan More Foods to encouraging them to rethink their packaging and have provided them with some creative ways in which they could do so. The children have also started to think of ways they can reduce and reuse packaging and have started their waste free picnic posters.

This week the school is taking part in Spring Clean up on Wednesday. 1st class will be cleaning up along the river bank and beside the school. If any parents would like to volunteer at this time please get in touch with me.

Also on Friday, Dave Treadwell will be coming in to talk to the class about pollinators and bees. Weather permitting this will take place in Fr Collins park. If parents would like to volunteer to help out at this workshop please contact me. It will take place around 10.50-12.10.

The weather is suppose to be good this week so please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing i.e. sun hats and has sun cream on.
