Homework 18th - 22nd September

Hi all,

Here's an outline of the homework for this week.

• Spellings: Please learn the list of spellings for the test on Friday. This week the spellings are based on the 'th' sound.

This week we also have 2 'challenge' words that the children can choose to learn if they think they want the challenge. There is no pressure on any child to learn these it's just an add on for anyone who wants a challenge! These are:

• Thematic Words: These are words relating to the theme in class of Myself. These words also relate to topics being covered in Learn Together, SESE and English. The children should know the meaning of these words and be able to read and discuss them by Friday.

The children wrote these words out in class today so if you could check that they have spelled them correctly.

Maths and English sheets: Each night the children should complete one maths sheet and one English sheet. The sheets are back to back this week and the day of the week that they should be completed by is written on the front of the sheet.

The children have started 'Team Teaching' this week. The class is split into groups of 5/6 and each group receives 45 minutes of literacy work with one of the assigned teachers. Some of these groups have received readers for homework so check with your child about whether or not they have reading tonight.
